What Are Face Frame Assembly Tables?

Face frame assembly tables are workstations that are used to hold the stiles and rails in place while you assemble a face frame. The table allows you to clamp the materials down securely and keep them in position while you work on the frame.

Benefits of Using a Ritter Face Frame Assembly Table

Ritter Face Frame Assembly Tables are built to last and are packed with features that make the assembly process quick and easy. The tables use heavy-duty squaring bars, a flat work surface, and an adjustable clamping arm to provide optimal clamping during the assembly process. The pneumatic clamps used in Ritter Face Frame Assembly Tables are top-notch, ensuring a tight grip on the materials while you work.

Ritter Face Frame Assembly Tables are available in a range of sizes to accommodate shops of all shapes and sizes. From 4’ x 8’ to 5’ x 12’, Ritter has you covered. Additionally, the tables are compatible with any pneumatic drill or driver, making them a perfect addition to your existing tools and shop setup.

Using a Face Frame Assembly Table

Before you start the face frame assembly process, it is important to make sure that all pieces are planed to the same thickness and are square on each side. This will help ensure that the pieces fit together well and that your end product is of high quality.

Once you have all your material cut and drilled (using Ritter’s pocket hole machines, for example), it is time to start the assembly. Set the frame on the face frame table, which is angled at 45 degrees to help the wood sit firmly while still providing a comfortable angle to work on.

Side squaring bars on the table help you square the frame before securing it with a screw. It can be helpful to have templates or markings on the wood to line up the stiles and rails quickly and easily.

Once everything is in place and squared, use the face frame clamps to hold the stiles and rails securely in place while you fasten the frame together. Depending on your preferred assembly technique, you may also choose to use glue to strengthen the joint.

Once the frame is fully assembled, simply disengage the clamps, slide the clamp arm out of the way, and remove the frame. Ritter’s tables come in different sizes and with varying numbers of clamps and features, so you can choose the one that best fits your needs.
